GIG
LEONARDO
This is something very rare in particular because it was marketed
only in Italy. Anyway it's not very difficult to play games made for
it since it is nothing more than an Emerson Arcadia 2001 clone. The
system was sold for a couple of years only at a very good price (for
the time): 150000 Italian lire (less than 100 US$ at the actual
exchange rate). The distributor (GIG Electronics) is one of the
biggest toys distributor in Italy and is actually distributing two
leading brand in the electronic entertainment market: Nintendo and
Tiger Toys.
The complete system as it was sold: Box, Leonardo system, one
game cartridge (Grand Slam Tennis).

COLLECTOR NOTES
Leonardo systems are very difficult to find. In a lot of years I
have found only one Leonardo system (without boxes and games) but
sincei t was sold at a very very high price I did not bought it. The
system wasn't a great success and so I suppose many units were sold
at a very discount price.
