Many different models of CD-I were made by Philips and Magnavox
(their US branch). Here there are some of the models distributed in
Europe in 1995-96. At least two more models were available in
previous years: a portable model with an LCD
screen built-in and a very compact model without built-in screen.
I don't have pics of the last one right now but I hope to add it
soon.

In the US there were two models based on this design called Magnavox CDI 450 and Magnavox CDI 550: they were sold with a "real" joypad (sold also in Europe as an optional controller called Game Pad 22ER 9021). The second model also had a built-in FMV card and was sold at 499.99 US$ (with two CD-I titles and a Game Pad). |
